NEW MAGPIE TREASURES CANDLE: Goddess Lakshmi

NEW MAGPIE TREASURES CANDLES HAVE BEEN CREATED

It has been a few months since I have created a new Magpie Treasures Candle, and I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to showcase the new custom VMT fragrance blend for, "Goddess Lakshmi."

WHAT ARE MAGPIE TREASURES CANDLES

Magpie Treasures Candles are candles that I created when I first got into the wax community where I would include a hidden gift inside each candle.  Each gift, when I started, were essentially the same;  crystal necklaces that I made, but the crystals & stones were all different.

I would put the necklaces in super tiny baggies (like the old dimebags but slightly bigger) and wrap those baggies in aluminum foil, to protect the bag and the necklace - it always worked out beautifully.

These candles were a huge hit, and eventually I started changing the gifts to crystals, precious stones, and eventually to enamel pins etc.

Now that I have so many wholesale contacts for a variety of things, I like to get crazy & creative with it.  The smaller candles will, of course, have smaller gifts, and the medium sized candles get unique & typically one-of-a-kind gifts, and the larger candles get bigger, rare gifts.

The larger candles with the rare gifts, are a new thing for me.  The gifts can go from necklaces, to earrings, to rings, to miniatures and whatever else I get my hands on and feel like throwing into the candle's vessels!

Since coming back as Prismatic Skies, I still own the name Magpie Treasures Candles.  Some parts of my old business, I sold.

I started doing the candles again, and totally having fun with it.  But please make note, that not all candles are Magpie Treasures Candles;  it will be mentioned within the listing & the title.

WHAT ARE THE NEW MAGPIE TREASURES CANDLES

Since opening Prismatic Skies, I have created a few Magpie Treasures Candles and they can be viewed & purchased here.

These new Magpie Treasures Candles are in honor of the Indian goddess, Lakshmi.  I'm going to list a few resources at the end of this article to further educate you about the deity.

Before creating this candle, however, or even just the blend in general, I did a bunch of research on the goddess, because I don't want to do something incorrectly and cause any kind of insult or harm to a country's religion and deity.

I had a little bit of the oils leftover and it was JUST ENOUGH to create these Magpie Treasures Candles and I am SO HAPPY at how they turned out and I am insanely excited for everyone to get these gifts.  I went a bit big on these gifts and I really hope that everyone loves them.

If you buy one of these Goddess Lakshmi Magpie Treasures Candles, or any Magpie Treasures Candles, you should join my group on Facebook and show off your treasures!!!!

LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THESE NEW MAGPIE TREASURES CANDLES

These candles were made in large tin vessels that have lids.  They're a lavender-type color, they are 3-cotton wick candles, and decorated with dried florals & botanicals, beads, wood embellishments, and crystals (please remove these items before lighting the candles - they are fire hazards), and dyed a rose' wine color.

Here are the graphics that I drew & created for the website's listing...

I started going in a different direction with the stock photos that I take & edit;  I want them to pop more.  Give more life to my hard work.  I have also started adding GIFs to the listings as well as creating listing cover art...to add more clicks and traffic flow.

Here's a quick screen recording of the new listing and new look of the website I am going into.  More changes are coming to the website...updates will happen as I make changes.

WHAT DOES THE GODDESS LAKSHMI FRAGRANCE BLEND SMELL LIKE

The main scent notes are Nag Champa...however, I make my own blend of Nag Champa...mine is not so...chemically...

There are a few fragrances and offerings to give to Goddess Lakshmi, and rose happens to be one of them.  Actually, a lot of the Hindu goddesses love the rose fragrance.

The scent notes of my Goddess Lakshmi blend are...
Nag Champa | Citrus Essentials | Rose | Tibetan Florals | Sugar Cane | Cream | Vanilla

Lakshmi Devi is also associated with the planet, Venus, in astrology, because it is the planet associated with beauty, grace, and fine objects like jewelry, clothes, perfumes, and flowers.  Therefore, it is beneficial to offer flowers to the Goddess Lakshmi during Diwali Puja or any other Puja holidays.  It's also considered extra good luck having these flowers at your home.

Red hibiscus blossoms are probably the most common tribute to Goddess Lakshmi.  The red hibiscus in all its vibrant red glory is the most suitable for Goddess Lakshmi as it is seen in relations to wealth and prosperity, as it is thought to represent love, passion, and devotion.

The rose is loved and adored by all Hindu goddesses, and Goddess Lakshmi wears a garland of red roses while she is performing her ritual worship.  That's the main reason I chose rose...because Lakshmi's garland always catches my eye...

Marigolds are another flower to offer the beautiful goddess.  In Hindu culture, bright orange and yellow represent happiness, spirituality, and purity.  Offering the goddess marigolds is said to bring prosperity and good fortune!

Jasmine is another perfect offering to Goddess Lakshmi;  the jasmine flower is said to represent Lakshmi's kindness.  The jasmine flower is said to represent purity, love, and devotion.

Here are a couple of other flowers you can offer Goddess Lakshmi...

I ALSO OFFER THE GODDESS LAKSHMI FRAGRANCE IN...

Wax melts and custom wax melt loaf!

The Goddess Lakshmi wax melts are in the Hamsa design with the lotus flower in the center.

They are dyed the same color as the 3-wick candles, mica powder, glitter, and dried rose buds & petals.

The Goddess Lakshmi Hamsa melts can be purchased here.

The next design is for custom wax melt loaves.  These are not RTS, these get made when they get ordered.  The wax melt loaf is 1lb or 2lbs.

The custom wax melt loaves are decorated with the same color dye as the candles and Hamsa melts, dried rose buds & petals, and glitter.

The Goddess Lakshmi Custom Wax Melt Loaf can be purchased here.
