I know that I have been MIA a lot lately, but for good reason; I work a full-time job on top of running my art business, and health stuff. But I do have some sweet news for you!!! There is a new retail shop opening up the next town over and the owner wants to sell my products in their store!!!!
The store is brand new, called, "A Little Happy Corner Shop," however, it will also be the homebase of the founder & owner, Karisa Durkee's, non-profit organization, "Operation Warmth."
Karisa is one of the coolest, most down-to-earth people ever and I am, quite frankly, very honored that Karisa wants me to be part of the awesomeness and sell my work in her shop. Really effn cool, actually.
I am going to be doing mainly exclusives for Karisa's shop, so they will not be able for my new upcoming website (Autumn 2026). The first blend that I created for A Little Happy Corner Shop, is a new blend for me, "Strawberry Milkshake," which comes with a cute strawberry shaped bell charm!
Aren't they adorable?! I am so giddy about how cute they are. There will be 6x wax melts per bag, and each bag comes with 1x adorable strawberry bell charm!
As previously mentioned, each bag comes with 6x wax melts and 1x bell charm. Below are the measurements and weight per melt; these are rough estimates but generally, this is the average.
I think it's safe to say that I have garnered myself a reputation of having powerful wax melts...and it's absolutely true! Haha! I typically pack my custom fragrances with a lot of scents, but since this is the first time my stuff is being available in a physical retail shop, where I'm not the one selling it, I wanted to go a bit simple at first, when it comes to scent notes, and once I see how sales are going, I'll be doing more exclusives but with more ooomph!
I could have taken the simple way out and do a one bottle pour, and pretend I created it all myself, but no. Not me. I have to be an extra diva about it, but for good reason!
When I first started, I did do one bottle pours, because I was brand new at it, and had no god damn clue what I was doing. In the past, I have bought several different fragrance oils from a variety of suppliers of that fragrance, and oh god, it was awful. Every single one of them.
1.) I smell chemicals. I pick up on it because my sense of smell is quite strong. I didn't like the chemicals at all, and I didn't feel comfortable making anything with them and selling them to customers. So I sold them on FB Marketplace.
2.) The fake smelling of strawberries gave me extreme nausea, and again, I did not feel comfortable making anything with them.
So I spent a little more money and figured out the recipe I was satisfied with and feel comfortable selling to customers.
Please keep in mind, every single one of my wax melts are strong scented as well as triple scented, so you really only need a little bit, and it lasts a while. If you feel you need to add a little bit more of the wax, then it is really up to you, but I would test it out first using a small piece, so you do not need to put 1 full wax melt into a warmer, just cut it in half.
The soft opening is June 18, 2026. And below, I'll list the details of the organization and shop below.
