Hello Everyone!!

Sorry that I haven’t given any updates as of recently, I’ve been incredibly busy with work and with pours, but I’ve got some fun stuff to share with you!!

UPDATES FROM JANUARY 20 - 28, 2025

  • Car sprays are coming back!!!  And in these really awesome glass skull bottles (see below).
The car sprays can be found in the MISC. FRAGRANCES section of my Etsy shop.

PLEASE NOTE:  The car sprays are not really skin safe as these are not perfumes, I made these with the intent to spray your car with, so I did not add the skin safe additives.  They’re safe to smell, of course, but if you apply these to your skin, it could cause an irritation or a rash.

Perfumes are coming back though and I have everything to make them.  They’ll get made this week.

  • THE MARIE ANTOINETTE COLLECTION
I have poured the first official release for The Marie Antoinette Collection called, “Black Jade,” which is apparently one of the perfumes the Queen was known to love.

I’m planning on writing a little piece about it when I can.

I have created two designs for this blend.  I’ll shoot some quick glimpse photos and videos for you guys this week.


  • BACK TO BASICS 
I have started making 5-cavity snap bars again and I’ve been doing some simple blends because I want more variety and not everyone loves a melt that I went ham on with a shit ton of scent notes, and I want to be fair to those that prefer the simplicity of a fragrance.

Honestly, you really can’t go wrong with a lovely basic like, “Black Cherry.”

I’ve also created some 5-cavity snaps with my usual style blends/blending.

I’ve created a good amount of 5-cavity snap bars:
  1. Amber Waters (planning on listing January 29, 2025, everyone loves this blend - very masculine)
  2. Black Cherry
  3. Honeydew + Pear + Cantaloupe 
  4. Hot Fudge Brownie 
  5. Kristian (named after my husband)
  6. Icicle, Icicle 

  • THE YOU BETTER WORK COLLECTION 
I’m bringing the collection back.  I love RuPaul.  I love drag queens.  But granted, it was just one blend and it was for BeBe Zahara Benet, but I really just love those girls and I want to create blends in their honor.






I’ll be bringing BeBe back, but I have created a blend for Shannel from season one.

Her eyes…ugh…effn stunning.  Gorgeous girl.  



The blends are all going to be those same lips that I did for the BeBe blend.

And for each season, RuPaul gets a new blend.  They’ll be lips but bigger, I’ll be using the mold that I did for the, “Kiss Me More,” blend.  (see below)





  • Love Spell (VS) is back.  I’ll get it listed this week.  
Two styles:
    • Lips (like for the contestants) 
    • Doily-like hearts


  • THE JEWEL COLLECTION 
I restarted The Jewel Collection as well and have added two new blends to that line:
  • Unakite
  • Indigo Gabbro 

“Amethyst,” is back and will be listed this week.  

The Amethyst, Unakite, and Others Indigo Gabbro blends come with 1 piece of their namesake, except Amethyst, it comes with a few tumbled pieces.  

Check out Unakite and Indigo Gabbro!!  Aren’t they beautiful??































  • THE FLUTTER OF WINGS COLLECTION

Turquoise & Orange Resin Ghost Lamps

  The Turquoise & Orange Resin Ghost Lamps Hey Everyone!!! Vanessa here!  Just wanted to tell you a little bit about the resin ghost lamps that I am making.  Started these today.  Never made them before.  They're super cute so far, and I am hoping, and thinking they will be, these come out great. The Resin Ghost Lamps I didn't want to do traditional colors completely, but I also really wanted to do orange, because ghosts are typically done in white, clear, and silver.  I am planning on doing a bunch of different colors for more resin ghost lamps. I used Let's Resin turquoise color, and it's more on the green side of turquoise, rather than the balanced green & blue that turquoise typically is. I really like it as of now, but I am curious how it will cure. I'm coming up with some ideas for other ghost lamps that I want to do.  I want to play around with it.   The Girl's Not Grey Anatomical Heart Shaped Wax Melts Creative Process Video I have made a quick video to show you folks part of the creative process that I go through in creating wax melts.  It's not the best video...it's quite frankly my very first video that I have made and edited.  I have a lot to learn but I think I did rather well for it being my first time. I don't want to give too much away of how I create everything mainly because the fragrances that I have are my own custom made blends and I use a variety of different manufacturers, and have worked too hard to share that side of my creative process, but I'm open to showing more when the time comes.  Just certain things will not be shared.   Vanessa Theodore | Prismatic Skies Update for August 5, 2024 Been super busy lately but I do have some updates for everyone!!!  I have been creating tirelessly for the releases coming out for Halloween 2024.  I will have some new blends coming out for the September 1, 2024 release of the Etsy shop, but a lot of my creations have been geared towards the Halloween release. I do have some new oils for the Christmas and Chanukah holidays.  I am also bringing back some of my, "winter," Best Sellers. So what's been going on?   MAGPIE TREASURES CANDLE:  Lemon Scented Candle In Vintage Hobnail Milk Glass Candy Bowl w/Lid I have been making Magpie Treasures Candles since December 2020.  Magpie Treasures Candles are handmade candles that I have created in (typically) vintage, rare, hard-to-find (not always - and they're usually more expensive) glassware. The glassware are typically mugs, cups, bowls, compotes, candy bowls, and the like.  The candles are made from a soy and paraffin wax blend and the fragrances are of my own creation/custom blend fragrances. I do not remember where I got this beautiful piece from, I think I bought it at a Savers here in New Hampshire . I wasn't always the greatest at making candles , but through A LOT of trial and error over the years, I have definitely gotten waaaaaaay better and the pieces have become much more beautiful, along with the fun treasures inside the candle .   A.F.I. " Girl's Not Grey " Music Video THE FIRST OFFICIAL WAX MELT OF PRISMATIC SKIES!!!! The first official wax melt for Prismatic Skies is called, " Girl's Not Grey ."  It is a dedication melt to the band, A.F.I. (A Fire Inside).  Check out the music video and song above!!! Some of you may be aware that I have made TONS of dedication / inspired by wax melts when Magpie Designs was in business, before having to shut it down due to health reasons.   The Blogger / Blogspot QR Code Video w/Audio Not only do I get creative with my wax melts, resin products, resin decor, resin art, and fluid art, I also get creative with the ways that I promote my business and my art .  I like to create promotional animation videos , and I have been getting extra creative adding audio to my videos. I taught myself animation, video editing, and audio enhancements in the beginning of the year (2023) while I was home on short term disability recovering from surgery and health complications that followed.  I needed some sort of creative outlet to be able to cope with not having Magpie Designs anymore, and not really being able to move.  So I started to dabble with animation. I still have a lot to learn but I am quite proud of myself in what I have learned and what I have learned being able to apply it to my artwork and to now, to my small business, Prismatic Skies .
