Hello & Happy New Year My Beautiful Magpies!!

Sorry I didn’t do updates on Monday and Tuesday, my husband & I decided to go up north and escape the world for two days.

I hope that everyone had an amazing New Year’s Eve and that you got to spend it with people very special and close to you.

I have some updates for everyone from the last couple of days and it’s going to be in one post…figured it would be easier and less of a hassle of clicking to a million posts!

SO WHAT’S NEW?!

  • 31DEC24:  "Gandalf The Grey," from, "The Tolkien Collection," 2oz. Shot Cup Samples are finished.
  • 30DEC24:  Putting together a few sampler boxes that will be available for sale sometime in 2025, looking like March, maybe around my birthday (14th).
  • 30DEC24:  Need more oils for the, “Dia de Muertos,” blend, from, “The Dia De Los Muertos Collection;” they’re looking quite beautiful!  I’m not revealing them yet as some people like to steal my designs etc.  
  • 30DEC24:Need to order more embellishments for the Dia de Muertos blend…actually, for the whole collection, along with other supplies.
  • 30DEC24:  The rest of the gifts for the, “Aphrodite,” blend from, “The Goddess Collection,” should be here next week, so I’ll start packaging them up.  Will likely send off the designs to one of my suppliers where I get labels printed, Thursday or Friday.  I kinda need them ASAP.
  • 31DEC24:  Poured the last of the, “Fruit Loops,” blend; need more oils (I make my own blend…the wholesalers I’ve tried give me a headache and they make me throw up…the chemicals are too harsh).
  • 31DEC24:  Created a new blend for, “The Tolkien Collection,”called, “Frodo Baggins.”  Pours have begun.  The Master Scent List has been updated.
  • 30DEC24:  Created a new blend for, “The Goddess Collection,” called, “Hestia.”  Pours have begun.  The Master Scent List has been updated.
  • 31DEC24:  Finished bagging the samples for the, “Irish Spring,” blend.  Coming out around Saint Patrick’s Day.
  • 31DEC24:  Need to take stock photos and a stock video of the new design for, “Witching Hour.”  One of many new designs for that best selling blend.  You can currently get that blend in a couple of options from my Etsy shop.  Will list them below.
  • 01JAN25:  Took stock photos of, "Witching Hour," will edit for the listing probably this week.
  • 01JAN25:  Finished the, "Red Admiral," (AKA Vanessa Atalanta) for, "The Flutter of Wings Collection."  And created samples for order packages.
  • 01JAN25:  Updated The Master Scent List.
  • 01JAN25:  Ordered the oils for the, "Arwen," blend from, "The Tolkien Collection."  This blend original released in 2021/22 and I haven't done it since then and have been asked several times since to please do them again.  They'll be done when the oils for it arrive probably almost immediately.
  • 01JAN25:  Ordered oils for the, "Aurora Borealis," blend, which is a regular, "RTS," blend.  Originally released in 2022 and I haven't done it since then.  Have been asked to please bring this back.  I will start as soon as I get the oils.
  • 01JAN25:  Poured 2nd batch of Hestia.  Need more oils and dye, ordered today.  The melts are bigger than usual which is why I'm running out faster than usual.  I made two designs of this blend.
  • 01JAN25:  I make my own dyes for specific blends and I ordered the dyes to create my black.
  • 01JAN25:  Created The Ring for the Frodo Baggins blend and then afterwards, I placed them where I wanted them on the melts and then poured the second half to hold it in place.
  • 01JAN25:  Bagged and labelled the Fruit Loops samples.
  • 01JAN25:  Ordered the oils for the first blend from, "The Marie Antoinette Collection," the blend is called, "Black Jade," and it resembles the perfume that the queen supposedly wore.  The Master Scent List will be ready when they have been poured.  I'm not overly worried that the people that typically try to steal my work, will figure out the oils that I have used but it's not difficult to find the name of the perfume.


SOME OTHER TIDBITS 

  • Here I have started the pours for the new blend, “Frodo Baggins,” from, “The Tolkien Collection.”

I really hope that what I have envisioned will be executed accurately.  Either way, it smells glorious.  







Below are the quick glimpses of the following day after the first poured cured overnight (not cured in scents wise but harden etc.).  I unmold the rounds that are to be The Ring and cut them in half and then placed them in the straight bars which are the base, and then poured the second portion of the straight bars to keep The Ring in place.  

Tomorrow I will paint The Ring and the design will be complete...the bar.  I'm still going to make The Ring in its own specific blend but Frodo gets his blend with The Ring as its first release because of obvious reasons.  The following design will be figured out another time and I'm only doing this for a Limited Edition official release of the blend.






  • “Gandalf The Grey,” is listed but it’s not active yet.  It will be once I get the labels.  But I’m happy with the stock photos! 
  • Added the Scent Notes graphic 01JAN25.
I’ll list the scent notes graphic this week.  It’ll also be the label for the packaging.

  • Created more Facebook logos | icons | vectors and I’ll bundle them together pertaining to theme, sometime week.
  • Created Instagram logos | icons | vectors and I’ll bundle them together pertaining to theme, sometime week.
  • Created some artwork for Gandalf The Grey, Aphrodite, Dia de Los Muertos, and Hestia. 
  • Created email icons | logos | vectors
  • Created smartphone icons | logos | vectors
  • Created shopping/ADD TO CART icons | logos | vectors
  • Created WiFi icons | logos | vectors
  • The Sunflower (yellow) fragrance is coming back and I started pours on 01JAN25!!!  Yay!  This blend is part of the RTS wax melts.
  • Created the, "Red Sunflower," blend on 01JAN25.  More details soon.
  • 01JAN25:  Ordered the oils for the, "Pretty On The Inside," blend...it was originally released in 2021/22 and it is coming back.  Check The Master Scent List for the scent notes.  New design too as it was originally a 2oz. shot cup design.  This blend is named after a song by the band, Hole, of the same name, "Pretty On The Inside," and it is part of, "The Music Collection."

Turquoise & Orange Resin Ghost Lamps

  The Turquoise & Orange Resin Ghost Lamps Hey Everyone!!! Vanessa here!  Just wanted to tell you a little bit about the resin ghost lamps that I am making.  Started these today.  Never made them before.  They're super cute so far, and I am hoping, and thinking they will be, these come out great. The Resin Ghost Lamps I didn't want to do traditional colors completely, but I also really wanted to do orange, because ghosts are typically done in white, clear, and silver.  I am planning on doing a bunch of different colors for more resin ghost lamps. I used Let's Resin turquoise color, and it's more on the green side of turquoise, rather than the balanced green & blue that turquoise typically is. I really like it as of now, but I am curious how it will cure. I'm coming up with some ideas for other ghost lamps that I want to do.  I want to play around with it.   The Girl's Not Grey Anatomical Heart Shaped Wax Melts Creative Process Video I have made a quick video to show you folks part of the creative process that I go through in creating wax melts.  It's not the best video...it's quite frankly my very first video that I have made and edited.  I have a lot to learn but I think I did rather well for it being my first time.   Vanessa Theodore | Prismatic Skies Update for August 5, 2024 Been super busy lately but I do have some updates for everyone!!!  I have been creating tirelessly for the releases coming out for Halloween 2024.  I will have some new blends coming out for the September 1, 2024 release of the Etsy shop, but a lot of my creations have been geared towards the Halloween release.   A.F.I. " Girl's Not Grey " Music Video THE FIRST OFFICIAL WAX MELT OF PRISMATIC SKIES!!!! The first official wax melt for Prismatic Skies is called, " Girl's Not Grey ."  It is a dedication melt to the band, A.F.I. (A Fire Inside).  Check out the music video and song above!!!   MAGPIE TREASURES CANDLE:  Lemon Scented Candle In Vintage Hobnail Milk Glass Candy Bowl w/Lid I have been making Magpie Treasures Candles since December 2020.  Magpie Treasures Candles are handmade candles that I have created in (typically) vintage, rare, hard-to-find (not always - and they're usually more expensive) glassware. The glassware are typically mugs, cups, bowls, compotes, candy bowls, and the like.  The candles are made from a soy and paraffin wax blend and the fragrances are of my own creation/custom blend fragrances. I do not remember where I got this beautiful piece from, I think I bought it at a Savers here in New Hampshire . I wasn't always the greatest at making candles , but through A LOT of trial and error over the years, I have definitely gotten waaaaaaay better and the pieces have become much more beautiful, along with the fun treasures inside the candle .   Resin Inspiration at Prismatic Skies: December 4, 2023 I’ve been getting inspiration a lot lately by watching unique resin artists videos and want to challenge myself and make a diorama. What do my first diorama be of?  Fantasy?  Dragons? Unicorns? Mermaids?  Woods?  Nautical?  Christmas? Tell me your ideas & I’ll challenge myself to make it! Just Remember, It Has To Be In Resin… Not everything can go in resin for a variety of reasons;  insects can go in resin but depending on the taxidermied insect and how delicate it is because resin can burn some materials.  Real flowers and faux flowers can go in resin.  Real flowers should be dried out first.  Fresh can go in but there will be more likelihood of bubbles, also, the color WILL fade out in resin.  Faux can give bubbles to but they can go in there.  Would be best to get a machine that gets rid of the bubbles - like a vacuum degassing chamber.  Candy can go in, so c...
