Got some updates from today for all of you.


Let's Get Started!!!

  • Created a new page on my blog, where I'll be featuring my products from my Redbubble account.  I do make other things aside from wax melts and candles and I do sell them at other avenues other than my Etsy shop for Prismatic Skies.
    • The Redbubble page on the blog can be found by clicking the line icon in the upper left hand corner, it's a sidebar of links, so you may need to scroll a little bit but it's not awful.
Here would be the homepage of the blog...






Upper left hand corner, is the line icon menu I mentioned...if you need more guidance, see directly below...






Click that icon.  A sidebar menu will appear...











You may need to scroll down a little bit on that sidebar to find where my Redbubble page may be...









And once you click, "Redbubble," on the sidebar menu, it'll bring you to a page that I created today just for my Redbubble Categories on what products I sell.

Scroll down the page and you will see the Vanessa's Redbubble Categories graphic header that I created as an indication graphic...like for a section.

I also created header graphics for the categories I sell in and you click on those graphics and it'll bring you to the products I have created with certain artwork on mine.

So far I have only created pages for MOUSE PADS and IPHONE CASES.  I have more to do.  

The idea is to bring more traffic to my blog and to bring more traffic to other aspects of my business and my art.

Below are the graphics that I have created today, and yes, they are hyperactive as well...including videos and GIFs!!!
















































  • Finished decorating and adding the embellishments for the, "Disney Villains Collections' Queen of Hearts," wax melts.
  • Did a 4th pour for, "Gandalf The Grey," wax melts - new design, which will be the next of the releases that I will be doing soon, after this next batch of releases are done.  Still waiting on the scent note labels.  Gandalf The Grey is not a new blend.  If you are interested in the scent notes for Gandalf The Grey, they can be found here, on The Master Scent List.  The Tolkien Collection...obviously...
  • Created a new blend that is part of, "The Flutter of Wings Collection," (same collection as the Spicebush Swallowtail blend), called, "The Red Admiral," (scientific name is Vanessa Atalanta).  This is what the actual butterfly lookings like.  More details at another time.
  • Did a final pour of the, "Eowyn," blend that is part of, "The Tolkien Collection."
  • Did a second pour of the, "Irish Spring," blend, but this time instead of the 12-Cavity Clamshells, I did the traditional 6-Cavity Clamshells.  I only want to do limited quantities on the larger ones.
  • Created a new design for one of my Best Sellers, "Witching Hour."  Details of the melt soon.
  • Created new mystery bundles for my Etsy shop called, "Magpie Bundles," and there a few made, that include a surprise of the following types of products:
    • 4x Full-Sized Wax Melts
    • 1x 2oz. Shot Cup Samples
    • 1x Ceramic Trinket Tray
    • 1x Handmade Necklace (by me)
    • 1x Small Bag of Raw Precious Stone Chips
  • Each bag will be a value of $75.00 being sold at a bundle price of $70.00, saving you $5.00.  They will be listed this weekend.

After I publish this update for December 27, 2024, Friday, I will get back to created graphics and hyperactive links to my other products that I have available for sale.

Turquoise & Orange Resin Ghost Lamps

  The Turquoise & Orange Resin Ghost Lamps Hey Everyone!!! Vanessa here!  Just wanted to tell you a little bit about the resin ghost lamps that I am making.  Started these today.  Never made them before.  They're super cute so far, and I am hoping, and thinking they will be, these come out great. The Resin Ghost Lamps I didn't want to do traditional colors completely, but I also really wanted to do orange, because ghosts are typically done in white, clear, and silver.  I am planning on doing a bunch of different colors for more resin ghost lamps. I used Let's Resin turquoise color, and it's more on the green side of turquoise, rather than the balanced green & blue that turquoise typically is. I really like it as of now, but I am curious how it will cure. I'm coming up with some ideas for other ghost lamps that I want to do.  I want to play around with it.   The Girl's Not Grey Anatomical Heart Shaped Wax Melts Creative Process Video I have made a quick video to show you folks part of the creative process that I go through in creating wax melts.  It's not the best video...it's quite frankly my very first video that I have made and edited.  I have a lot to learn but I think I did rather well for it being my first time. I don't want to give too much away of how I create everything mainly because the fragrances that I have are my own custom made blends and I use a variety of different manufacturers, and have worked too hard to share that side of my creative process, but I'm open to showing more when the time comes.  Just certain things will not be shared.   Vanessa Theodore | Prismatic Skies Update for August 5, 2024 Been super busy lately but I do have some updates for everyone!!!  I have been creating tirelessly for the releases coming out for Halloween 2024.  I will have some new blends coming out for the September 1, 2024 release of the Etsy shop, but a lot of my creations have been geared towards the Halloween release. I do have some new oils for the Christmas and Chanukah holidays.  I am also bringing back some of my, "winter," Best Sellers. So what's been going on?   MAGPIE TREASURES CANDLE:  Lemon Scented Candle In Vintage Hobnail Milk Glass Candy Bowl w/Lid I have been making Magpie Treasures Candles since December 2020.  Magpie Treasures Candles are handmade candles that I have created in (typically) vintage, rare, hard-to-find (not always - and they're usually more expensive) glassware. The glassware are typically mugs, cups, bowls, compotes, candy bowls, and the like.  The candles are made from a soy and paraffin wax blend and the fragrances are of my own creation/custom blend fragrances. I do not remember where I got this beautiful piece from, I think I bought it at a Savers here in New Hampshire . I wasn't always the greatest at making candles , but through A LOT of trial and error over the years, I have definitely gotten waaaaaaay better and the pieces have become much more beautiful, along with the fun treasures inside the candle .   A.F.I. " Girl's Not Grey " Music Video THE FIRST OFFICIAL WAX MELT OF PRISMATIC SKIES!!!! The first official wax melt for Prismatic Skies is called, " Girl's Not Grey ."  It is a dedication melt to the band, A.F.I. (A Fire Inside).  Check out the music video and song above!!! Some of you may be aware that I have made TONS of dedication / inspired by wax melts when Magpie Designs was in business, before having to shut it down due to health reasons.   The Blogger / Blogspot QR Code Video w/Audio Not only do I get creative with my wax melts, resin products, resin decor, resin art, and fluid art, I also get creative with the ways that I promote my business and my art .  I like to create promotional animation videos , and I have been getting extra creative adding audio to my videos. I taught myself animation, video editing, and audio enhancements in the beginning of the year (2023) while I was home on short term disability recovering from surgery and health complications that followed.  I needed some sort of creative outlet to be able to cope with not having Magpie Designs anymore, and not really being able to move.  So I started to dabble with animation. I still have a lot to learn but I am quite proud of myself in what I have learned and what I have learned being able to apply it to my artwork and to now, to my small business, Prismatic Skies .
