  ISN’T THIS THE CUTEST?! I’m super excited about this bat trinket tray because I’ve never made one before.  It was easy to make.  Great, sturdy mold. It’s actually a pretty decent size tray too!  Check the dimensions below! It’s not listed on the website yet, but it will be this week, and absolutely on time for the March 2024 store opening. I still need to cut off the spillover pieces that typically happens with resin & molds.  Then I need to sand those areas & then polish it! I bought a new dremel tool for my resin products and I’m charging it.  Every time I used it, it would dye on me, haha.  I guess that’s what I get for being impatient!  Haha! The colors that I chose are a purple, blue, and I’m fairly certain gold chameleon mica powder with a black background - it makes the chameleon powder stand out more.   A new item has been added to my (upcoming) website!  It’s a cute crescent moon trinket dish that I made out of resin, mica powder, and alcohol ink. It’s a fairly small dish, for dimensions, please see last photo below in this blog post. It cannot hold many things, however, it can hold: loose change, pills, earrings, rings, 𝒐𝒓 it can just be a decorative piece n any room!   I made another dedication wax melt!  H.I.M.’s cover of the Blue Oyster Cult classic, “𝐷𝑜 𝑁𝑜𝑡 𝐹𝑒𝑎𝑟 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑅𝑒𝑎𝑝𝑒𝑟,“ got me totally inspired to make this wax melt.   The Turquoise & Orange Resin Ghost Lamps Hey Everyone!!! Vanessa here!  Just wanted to tell you a little bit about the resin ghost lamps that I am making.  Started these today.  Never made them before.  They're super cute so far, and I am hoping, and thinking they will be, these come out great. The Resin Ghost Lamps I didn't want to do traditional colors completely, but I also really wanted to do orange, because ghosts are typically done in white, clear, and silver.  I am planning on doing a bunch of different colors for more resin ghost lamps. I used Let's Resin turquoise color, and it's more on the green side of turquoise, rather than the balanced green & blue that turquoise typically is. I really like it as of now, but I am curious how it will cure. I'm coming up with some ideas for other ghost lamps that I want to do.  I want to play around with it.   The Girl's Not Grey Anatomical Heart Shaped Wax Melts Creative Process Video I have made a quick video to show you folks part of the creative process that I go through in creating wax melts.  It's not the best video...it's quite frankly my very first video that I have made and edited.  I have a lot to learn but I think I did rather well for it being my first time. I don't want to give too much away of how I create everything mainly because the fragrances that I have are my own custom made blends and I use a variety of different manufacturers, and have worked too hard to share that side of my creative process, but I'm open to showing more when the time comes.  Just certain things will not be shared.   Currently Creating A Promotional Video Right now I am creating my very first promotional video (ever) for a product that I made.  I have made videos before, but the kind that I am trying to make I have never made before.  I'm not sure how it is going to come out, or if I am going to like it, but it's an attempt and educational. So please be gentle with my fragile ego, haha. I kind of have an idea of where I want to go with this but ugh...I'm having a hard time.  Lots more to learn, but I may also keep it raw, because I want to see how far I have grown when I am looking on my past creations.  Good learning lesson though, that much I can say!   The Blogger / Blogspot QR Code Video w/Audio Not only do I get creative with my wax melts, resin products, resin decor, resin art, and fluid art, I also get creative with the ways that I promote my business and my art .  I like to create promotional animation videos , and I have been getting extra creative adding audio to my videos. I taught myself animation, video editing, and audio enhancements in the beginning of the year (2023) while I was home on short term disability recovering from surgery and health complications that followed.  I needed some sort of creative outlet to be able to cope with not having Magpie Designs anymore, and not really being able to move.  So I started to dabble with animation. I still have a lot to learn but I am quite proud of myself in what I have learned and what I have learned being able to apply it to my artwork and to now, to my small business, Prismatic Skies .
